On November 2nd, the torch relay for China's 15th National Games took place simultaneously in Hong Kong, Macao, Guangzhou and Shenzhen. From the "source flame" drawn from the deep sea to the "sacred flame" carried across the four cities,every moment has left an unparalleled memory for people.

On October 9th, the flame lighting ceremony for China's 15th National Games, 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities, and 9th National Special Olympic Games was held in Nansha District, Guangzhou. The flame was ignited from combustible ice extracted at a depth of 1,522 meters in the South China Sea. The sacred flame was handed over by underwater robots for the first time in global sports history, and on November 2nd, the humanoid robot "Kuavo" precisely replicated the human running gait to complete the torch relay.

The ground breaking deep-sea flame collection, a first in sports history, was supported by the strong technological prowess of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area(GBA). Thanks to the precise operation of China's homegrown "Haima" deep-sea remotely operated vehicle (ROV), breakthroughs in more than ten bottleneck technologies, including the in-situ collection, decomposition and ignition device for combustible ice, and the successful application of solar power cross-medium transmission technology, the "light of sky" eventually ignited the "fire of the sea", creating a scientific spectacle of "water and fire blending" in the deep sea.

The humanoid robot "Kuavo" developed by a sci-tech innovation enterprise in Shenzhen is equipped with GBA's self-developed 5G-Advanced (5G-A) technology. It can swing its arms, bend its waist and hand over things smoothly just like humans.

From a robot joining the torch relay to the deep integration of cutting-edge technologies throughout the Games, this grand event serves as a vivid demonstration of the GBA's collaborative progress in sports technology innovation.

“燃冰成炬”“人机传火”何以意义非凡？

第十五届全国运动会火炬传递11月2日在香港、澳门、广州、深圳四个城市同步举行。从深海采集的“源火”，到四城传递的“圣火”，都为人们留下了独一无二的记忆。

10月9日，十五运会和残特奥会火种采集仪式在广州南沙举行。火焰从南海深处“燃冰”而起，跨越1522米深海，跃入世人视野。水下机器人将这束全球体育运动史上首次从深海海底直接获取的圣火递交给了人类。11月2日，人形机器人“夸父”精准复刻人类奔跑姿态完成火炬传递。

开创体育史上先河的深海取火，背后是粤港澳大湾区科创力量的硬核支撑。我国自主研发的“海马”号深海遥控潜水器的精准作业、“可燃冰原位采集分解及引燃装置”对十余项“卡脖子”技术的突破、太阳能跨介质传输技术的成功应用，终让“天之光”燃“海之火”，造就深海“水火交融”的科学奇观。

人形机器人“夸父”诞生于深圳科创企业，搭载着大湾区自主研发的5G-A信号系统，摆臂、弯腰、交接的拟人化动作流畅自然。

从火炬传递里展现的“机器接力”，到尖端技术深度“嵌入”全运会各个环节，这场盛会是粤港澳大湾区在体育科技创新领域协同发展的“鲜活注脚”。
