The 2025 Guangzhou International Light Festival will take place from November 16th to November 26th. This year's festival themed on "Smart Bay Area · Joyful National Games," and the installations will be distributed across Guangzhou's New Central Axis (including Haixinsha Asian Games Park, Huacheng Square, Canton Tower, Guangzhou CTF Finance Centre and Guangzhou International Financial Center), and both banks of the river (including 24 building facades along the river, Haiyin Bridge, Liede Bridge, and Pazhou West District).

This year's light festival has three major highlights. First, it will deploy more technology and fully incorporate elements of the National Games. The festival sets up a giant immersive light and shadow experience space, utilizing AIGC technology, visual art, interactive projection and other methods to comprehensively upgrade the visitor experience while deeply resonating with the competitive spirit of the National Games.

Second, it is the first time the festival is jointly held with the Guangzhou Garden Expo, creating a new experience of "a fusion of flowers and lights". This year, the light installations and the Garden Expo's exhibits will interweave and deeply integrated, delivering a round-the-clock visual feast. Citizens can enjoy flowers during the day and lights at night.Third, the festival adopts a "public co-creation plus citywide sharing" model to create an atmosphere shared by all. This festival invites creative organizations and individuals from around the world to submit light artworks.

The Guangzhou International Light Festival has now been held successfully for 13 consecutive editions. In 2015, it was included by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization(UNESCO) in the "International Year of Light and Light-based Technologies" programme as a major cultural event. It is one of the world-renowned light festivals, and has attracted more than 67 million visits cumulatively to date. In addition, it has further driven the prosperity of the lighting industry in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, promoting the growth of around 70% of China's stage lighting and audio-visual companies to take root and expand in Guangdong.

2025年广州国际灯光节11月16日起举办，全方位融入全运会元素

2025年广州国际灯光节将于11月16日至11月26日举行。今年灯光节以“智汇湾区·悦动全运”为主题，作品分布于城市新中轴（海心沙亚运公园、花城广场、广州塔、东塔、西塔）、一江两岸（沿江24栋建筑群、海印桥、猎德大桥、琶洲西区）等地。

本届灯光节有三大亮点。一是运用更多科技手段，全方位融合全运会元素。本届灯光节通过设置巨型光影沉浸式体验空间，运用AIGC技术、视觉艺术、互动投影等手段，全方位升级游客体验，同时深度呼应全运会的体育竞技精神。

二是首次与园博会合办，打造“花影共融”新体验。今年灯光节作品与广州园林博览会作品相互穿插、深度融合，打造全天候观赏盛宴，市民可以白天赏花夜晚赏灯。三是采用“全民创作+全域共享”模式，创造“全民共赏”氛围，本届灯光节向全球具有创意的组织和个人征集作品。

广州国际灯光节至今已成功连续举办13届。2015年，广州国际灯光节被联合国教科文组织纳入“国际光年”大型文化活动，是世界知名灯光节之一，累计吸引游客超过6700万人次。此外，还进一步带动粤港澳大湾区照明产业的繁荣，推动国内70%的舞台灯光音响企业扎根广东发展壮大。
