"Chinese acupuncture is incredible! I truly hope Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) can be recognized worldwide to help more people!" said Yenny, a woman from Indonesia.
Since 2013, Yenny has suffered from paroxysmal dizziness and headaches, which started due to work exhaustion and worsened over the years. Despite seeking medical help at multiple facilities in Indonesia, she was unable to find a solution. In late 2024, during an exchange visit to China, Yenny visited the Department of Ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatments at Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine (Dade Road General Hospital), where she consulted with Professor Chen Xiuhua, Head of the Department.
After receiving a series of treatments, including the nationally recognized intangible cultural heritage "Lingnan Chen's Acupuncture," cupping, and acupoint thread embedding, Yenny's long-standing symptoms significantly improved.
In October of this year, taking advantage of the Canton Fair, Yenny made her third trip to Guangdong Provincial Hospital of Chinese Medicine, accompanied by four family members and friends. By now, Yenny was no longer plagued by dizziness and insomnia, and her son-in-law's issues with hematuria and skin issues had also improved.
For Professor Chen Xiuhua, the Canton Fair has become a special "reunion" with long-time international patients. "Lingnan Chen's Acupuncture has three distinctive features: fast needle insertion with minimal pain, strong needling sensation, and rapid effectiveness. Many foreign friends find it quite easy to accept," Chen explained on the morning of October 29th as she administered acupuncture to Yenny. "For them, these are often stubborn illnesses that have troubled them for years. But here, a single silver needle can bring immediate relief, and a few doses of Chinese herbal medicine can produce noticeable improvement. So, once trust is built, they become firm believers in TCM."
