On October 18th, the 24th China Shanghai International Arts Festival will unveil the GBA Cultural Week on the Bund in Shanghai. Jointly presented by Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and the organizing committee of the festival, the event will feature seven original stage productions with fourteen performances, a grand exhibition "Reform Mission: Guangdong Art Centennial Exhibition," and a series of intangible cultural heritage performances rich in Lingnan characteristics.

Yingge dance, a traditional folk dance unique to the Chaoshan region, integrates elements of martial arts and drama. Known as the "Chinese battle dance," it features bold movements and stirring rhythms that embody the bravery and vigor of the Chinese people. The dance drama "Odes to Heroes" blends traditional cultural elements with modern stage artistry, preserving the original spirit of the Yingge dance while infusing it with contemporary vitality and aesthetic appeal.

For the first time, the Cantonese opera "Double Embroidery Affinity" brings to life the legendary story of Lu Meiniang, the founding figure of Cantonese embroidery. The production also marks a deep integration of two Guangdong intangible cultural heritage forms, Cantonese opera and Cantonese embroidery. Drawing inspiration from the masterpiece of the Tang Dynasty "Court Ladies Preparing Silk," the creative team presents a striking visual tableau: ten embroiderers working simultaneously beside a ten-meter-long embroidery frame. Director Xu Chunlan describes the performance as "every frame looks like a painting."

As China's first ballet centered on the development of the GBA, "Home" weaves together the patriotic emotions of overseas Chinese in the region, showcasing the region's pioneering, pragmatic, and innovative spirit. While maintaining the essence of classical ballet, the production boldly incorporates local Lingnan elements such as Cantonese opera, Nanquan (or southern fist), dragon and lion dance, and Yingge dance. Enhanced by modern multimedia techniques, the performance vividly brings the distinctive cultural flavor of Lingnan to the stage.

亮相粤港澳大湾区文化周，它们何以代表广东？

10月18日，第二十四届中国上海国际艺术节“粤港澳大湾区文化周”将在上海滩隆重启幕。本次“粤港澳大湾区文化周”由广东、香港、澳门以及中国上海国际艺术节组委会联手打造，届时将有7台14场原创舞台剧目、规模空前的广东美术百年大展、富有岭南特色的非遗艺术表演等精彩亮相。

英歌舞作为潮汕地区独具特色的一种传统民间舞蹈，融合了武术、戏剧等多种元素。英歌舞以奔放的舞姿和激昂的音乐节奏展现了中华儿女的英勇与豪迈，被誉为“中华战舞”。舞剧《英歌》将传统文化元素与现代舞台艺术相结合，在保留英歌舞原始韵味的同时，赋予它新的时代气息和审美价值。

粤剧《双绣缘》首次将广绣始祖卢眉娘的传奇故事搬上舞台，实现了粤剧与广绣两大非遗艺术的深度融合。主创团队在创作中借鉴了唐代名画《捣练图》，演出中，舞台上一张10米长的绣架旁，10位绣娘同时刺绣，导演徐春兰以“每一帧都是画”来形容《双绣缘》的视觉效果。

作为国内首部聚焦粤港澳大湾区建设的芭蕾舞剧，《家园》以湾区侨胞的家国情怀为脉络，体现出的敢为人先、务实创新的湾区精神更令人印象深刻。该剧在保持古典芭蕾精髓的同时，大胆融入粤剧、南拳、舞龙、舞狮、英歌等岭南本土元素，并运用现代多媒体技术，在舞台上生动再现岭南文化特色。
