On October 13th, the Austrian Ski Demonstration Team made its inaugural visit to China, with Guangzhou as its first stop, where the team brought a series of spectacular ski demonstrations and training exchanges. On the occasion of the upcoming 15th National Games in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), the "cold resources" of ice and snow sports are being transformed into a "hot economy" of sports in the GBA, sparking a nationwide craze.

Gerhard Sint, Vice President of the Austrian Ski School Association (ÖSSV), said in an interview that an explosive growth has been witnessed in China's ski industry. He noted that indoor ski resorts have become a key driver in promoting skiing as a year-round sport. He noted that despite having no natural snow throughout the year, Guangzhou has overcome seasonal and geographical limitations through its advanced indoor ski facilities, fostering a new ecosystem where skiing has become accessible to people across both northern and southern regions.

As one of the world's fastest indoor ski resorts to surpass one million visitors, Guangzhou Sunac Snow Park has become a landmark venue for ice and snow sports in South China. "The GBA is a key region under China's strategy to engage 300 million people in ice and snow activities," said James Tay, founder of CASA International Sport Management (Beijing). "We hope to introduce Austria's mature coach training system to China and build a systematic and international platform for ski skill development."

奥地利滑雪示范队首访广州，共迎十五运体育热潮

“我们看到了中国滑雪运动的爆发式增长。”奥地利国家滑雪专业协会副主席 Gerhard Sint（吉哈德·辛特）在接受采访时表示，室内雪场已成为推动滑雪运动“全年化”普及的关键力量。“广州虽然全年无雪，却凭借先进的室内雪场，打破了季节与地域的限制，形成了‘南北共滑’的新生态。”

作为全球最快突破百万客流量的室内滑雪场之一，广州热雪奇迹已成为华南地区冰雪运动的标志性场馆。“粤港澳大湾区是‘三亿人上冰雪’战略的重点区域。”凯赛国际创始人郑扬表示，“我们希望将奥地利成熟的教练培训体系引入中国，打造系统化、国际化的滑雪提升平台。”
