Huaqiangbei, known as China’s "Electronics Street," has a global influence on the electronics industry, reaching over 180 countries and regions. With more than 7,000 foreign visitors daily, the district's transaction volume has surpassed 400 billion yuan.

On September 19, during a visit to Huaqiangbei, CC unexpectedly encountered a pair of Brazilian tourists. They were carrying three bags filled with various electronic products, having just finished “shopping” here. The reporter spotted a robotic dog and couldn't resist asking about the price. "300," they answered briefly. The reporter instinctively assumed it was in dollars, but they immediately corrected: "It's in RMB!" Though the price was attractive, what about the quality? Brazilian tourist Jannaina smiled and said, "Compared to Brazil, these products are much cheaper in Huaqiangbei, and the quality is excellent. It’s great value for money!" She marveled, "Huaqiangbei truly is the dreamland for electronics!"

In addition to its enticing prices and diverse range of electronic products, Huaqiangbei also attracts global tourists with its unique international atmosphere. Here, in addition to the dazzling array of electronic products and innovative technologies, the "orange-vested" volunteers on the streets have also become a distinctive symbol. Soma, from South Africa, is one of them. He has lived in Shenzhen for five years, and in his eyes, Shenzhen is a city full of international ambiance. "I feel a strong international atmosphere here. Shenzhen is a new city, but in just a few decades, it has developed into a global metropolis," he said. He added, "The people of Shenzhen are very friendly. If you're lost, even strangers will warmly help you."

In Huaqiangbei, Soma's main job is to assist international tourists. In addition to answering questions about electronic products, he also introduces the rich cultural background and diverse commercial landscape of Huaqiangbei. "Foreign tourists often ask me how long I’ve been living in Shenzhen and how life is here," he said. In his view, helping tourists integrate into Shenzhen's lifestyle is something he takes great pride in.

When CC asked about his feelings wearing the "orange vest," Soma thought for a moment and replied, "I feel proud to be able to help Shenzhen. This city has given me a lot of help, and I want to contribute to it through volunteering. It's wonderful to contribute even a little to the community!" Soma's experience vividly embodies the slogan "Once you come, you're a Shenzhener!" and gives it concrete expression in the internationalized neighborhood of Huaqiangbei.
