Art and Culture | Recently, the short film “Westward Flows the Dongjiang, Red Blooms the Kapok”, part of the 2025 "Maritime Guangdong Program", successfully wrapped up production in Huizhou, Guangdong. The film tells a story set along the Dongjiang River, using the loneliness and resignation of a middle-aged man who fishes at night to explore the widespread struggles faced by contemporary middle-aged men. #artandculture

近日，2025“向山海走去”青年导演创作扶持计划（简称山海计划）短片《东江西去木棉红》在广东省惠州市顺利杀青。该片讲述一段发生在惠州东江上的故事，借一位夜钓中年男人内心的落寞和无奈，探讨当下中年男性遭遇的普遍困境。
