On August 18th, 2025, the new Hengqin Port, located in the Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone in Hengqin, marked its 5th anniversary. Statistics show that as of 5:00 PM on August 17th this year, the port had processed more than 75.6 million travelers and over 8.95 million vehicles since opening, with annual average growth rates of 55.6 percent and 43.3 percent, respectively. Hengqin Port has become one of the busiest border crossings in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

In the early morning, the departure hall of Hengqin Port is filled with travelers heading to Macao for work or study. "In the past, crossing the border meant taking a shuttle bus from Macao and waiting in line twice. The whole process could take around an hour and a half. Now, with the new port, everything can be done in one hall and I can cross in just a few minutes. These days, I travel between Hengqin and Macao at least twice a day," said Ms. Guo, a Macao resident.

In March 2024, China's first 30 joint one-stop vehicle inspection channels and a hall for checking vehicle passengers were put into full operation at Hengqin Port. "It's so convenient now. Just step on the gas and pass through, just like driving through a highway toll station!" said Mr. Hong, a Macao resident, praising the new channels. According to Zeng Xiang, deputy director of Hengqin Border Inspection Station, "The average inspection time for the new lanes is about 100 seconds, with the fastest clearance taking just 52 seconds."

The past five years have also marked a period of intensive innovation in border clearance policies at Hengqin Port. A series of facilitation measures—including the frequent travelers lane, Hengqin-Macao tour groups, and multi-entry permits—have been introduced, further reducing the cost of cross-border travel and effectively promoting the integration of cultural and tourism resources as well as industrial development between Hengqin and Macao.

开通五周年超7560万人次通关，琴澳通关加速绘就一体化新图景

2025年8月18日，坐落在横琴粤澳深度合作区（以下简称“合作区”）的新横琴口岸正式启用五周年。据统计，自开通以来截至今年8月17日17时，新横琴口岸累计验放人员突破7560万人次，车辆超895万辆次，年均增长率分别达55.6%和43.3%，横琴口岸已成为粤港澳大湾区最繁忙的跨境通道之一。

清晨的横琴口岸出境旅检大厅内，赶早前往澳门工作、求学的旅客络绎不绝。“以前过关要从澳门坐巴士摆渡，还要排两次队，整个流程下来差不多要一个半小时。现在新口岸通关方便，这一个大厅就可以办完过关手续，几分钟就过关了，我现在每天要往返横琴澳门至少两趟。”澳门居民郭女士说道。

2024年3月，全国首创的30条客货车“联合一站式”车道在横琴口岸全面启用。“新车道启用以后很方便，踩一脚油门就通过，就像过高速收费站！”对新车道的启用，澳门居民洪先生赞不绝口。据横琴边检站副站长曾向介绍：“新车道平均查验时间稳定在约100秒，最快52秒即可完成通关。”

五年来，也是横琴口岸通关政策的“密集创新期”。“常旅客”通道、“琴澳旅游团”“一签多行”等一系列便民利企政策相继推出，进一步降低跨境出行成本，有效推动琴澳两地文旅资源融合与产业发展。
