On August 4th, Guangzhou released the "White Paper on Guangzhou Nansha for Deepening Comprehensive Cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao with Global Perspective (June 2022–June 2025)". The report, publicly disclosed for the first time, highlights the progress made in the past three years, noting that provincial, municipal, and district authorities have largely fulfilled the first-phase goals set out in the "Master Plan of Guangzhou, Nansha on Deepening Comprehensive Cooperation between Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao with Global Perspective" (referred to as the"Nansha Plan") for 2025.

In science and innovation, 19 joint R&D projects involving Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao have been launched. The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou), known as HKUST (GZ), has firmly established itself in Nansha, with its surrounding innovation zone under rapid development.

Major breakthroughs have also been made in the construction of key scientific platforms. China's first domestically designed and built deep-ocean drilling vessel, named  "Mengxiang," or "Dream," was commissioned in Nansha, while the country's first national major scientific facility integrating land and sea—the cold-seep ecosystem research facility—has begun construction in the district.

On the industrial front, Nansha became the first in China to offer a fully open testing ground for autonomous mobility services. The output value of the shipbuilding and marine engineering sectors exceeded 30 billion yuan. The third-generation semiconductor industry has built a complete ecosystem of wide-bandgap semiconductors, covering design, manufacturing, packaging, testing, and materials. Meanwhile, more than 400 biopharmaceutical companies have clustered in Nansha, forming industrial hubs spanning cell and gene therapies as well as advanced medical equipment.

According to official data, Nansha's regional GDP reached 230.13 billion yuan in 2024, with the first half of 2025 recording a year-on-year growth of 4.5 percent.

地区生产总值突破2300亿元！《南沙方案》白皮书发布三年成果首次披露

8月4日，《广州南沙深化面向世界的粤港澳全面合作白皮书（2022.06-2025.06）》（以下简称《白皮书》）对外发布。《白皮书》指出，三年来，省、市、区基本完成《广州南沙深化面向世界的粤港澳全面合作总体方案》（以下简称《南沙方案》）2025年第一阶段目标任务。

其中，科创方面，累计立项19个粤港澳联合科技攻关项目。香港科技大学（广州）[简称“港科大（广州）”]扎根南沙，环港科大（广州）创新区加快建设。

同时，南沙重大科技平台建设不断取得新突破，我国自主设计建造的首艘大洋钻探船“梦想”号在南沙建成入列，首个海陆结合的国家重大科技基础设施——冷泉生态系统研究装置在南沙启动建设。

产业方面，在全国率先面向自动驾驶出行提供全域开放“试验场”。船舶与海洋工程产业产值突破300亿元。第三代半导体产业形成覆盖宽禁带半导体设计、制造、封测、材料全产业链完整生态。集聚超过400家生物医药企业，形成覆盖细胞与基因治疗、高端医疗器械等细分领域产业集群。

数据显示，2024年南沙地区生产总值2301.3亿元，2025年上半年地区生产总值同比增长4.5%。
