On August 3rd, the 100‑day countdown event for the Guangzhou division of the 15th National Games and 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities, along with the 9th National Special Olympic Games and the release event of 2025 "Top Eight Sights of Guangzhou" selection took place in Guangzhou. Onsite, the 2025 Top Eight Sights of Guangzhou were formally unveiled, which are "Tower Reflecting Flower City", "Baiyun Mountain Green and in Arranged Well", "Elegance and Talent of Yuexiu Mountain", "Wonderful Scenery of Liwan", "The Rising Sun above Nansha", "Cloud Sails ofHuangpu", "Chimelong Paradise", and "Misty Islet along Liuxi River".

The six‑month‑long selectioncombined 13.79 million online votes from around the world, alongside several rounds of deliberation by a panel of 30 expert judges. From an initial field of 71 nominated sites across Guangzhou's 11 districts, the final list of eight was chosen and given official names, injecting a new era charm into the thousand-year-old city.

Tower Reflecting Flower City (including the Canton Tower, the Guangzhou Museum of Art, the Huacheng Square, the Night View of the Pearl River, the Haizhu Wetland, and the Guangzhou Cultural Center): The city's new central axis, stretching along both banks of the Pearl River, knits together symbols of Guangzhou's evolution from Maritime Silk Road prosperity to international urban flourishing.

Baiyun Mountain Green and in Arranged Well (including the Baiyun Mountain, the Yunluo Botanical Garden, and the Yunxi Botanical Garden): The motto "harmonious urban‑garden integration, ecological symbiosis, people's shared benefits" has formed the green melody of Guangzhou. The century-old Flower City is writing a glorious chapter of the era.

Elegance and Talent of Yuexiu Mountain (including the Beijing Road, the Nanyue King Museum, the Yuexiu Park, and the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall): Anchored in Guangzhou's traditional central axis, this area is a locus of Red culture, Lingnan heritage, Maritime Silk Road legacy, and innovation, where the city's literary and architectural spirit converge.

Wonderful Scenery of Liwan (including the Yongqing Fang, the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall, the Bai'etan, the Bai'etan GBA Art Center, and the Shamian Island): As the cultural heart of Lingnan and birthplace of Guangzhou's millennium‑old mercantile tradition, Xiguan's charm endures, and its waterside scenes are renewed with contemporary flair.

The Rising Sun above Nansha (including the Nansha Tianhou Palace, the Puzhou Garden, the Nansha Coastal Park, and the Nansha Wetland Park): Along a 20‑kilometre goldcoast, landmarks like the Tianhou Palace, Puzhou Garden and the Cruise Home Portembody the vibrant spirit of Nansha as a Pearl of the Greater Bay Area.

Cloud Sails of Huangpu (including the Nanhai Temple, and the Whampoa Military Academy): As the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road and the cradle of modern revolution, this theme evokes Guangzhou's outward‑facing culture and resolute historical character.

Chimelong Paradise (including the Chimelong Guangzhou Resort): Over three decades, this integrated theme‑park and resort has become a cornerstone of family memories, where laughter and joy are woven into daily life.

Misty Islet along Liuxi River: (including the Liuxi River National Forest Park, the Conghua Hot Springs Resort, and the Guangzhou branch of the National Archives of Publications and Culture): Along the banks of Liuxi River, the "Mother River of Guangzhou", lies a onto ecological beauty and cultural resonance for the world.

2025“羊城八景”揭晓 全民票选铸就城市新名片

8月3日，“精彩全运 新彩广州”——十五运会和残特奥会倒计时100天广州赛区活动暨2025年“羊城八景”发布活动在广州举行。现场，2025年“羊城八景”名单正式揭晓：“塔映花城”“云山叠翠”“越秀风华”“荔湾胜境”“南沙旭日”“黄埔云帆”“欢乐长隆”“流溪烟渚”。

本次评选活动历时近半年，经全球1379万人次公众投票及30位专业评审团多轮论证，从11区71个候选景区（点）中诞生新一届的“羊城八景”名单和命名，为千年城脉注入时代新韵。

塔映花城（含广州塔、广州艺术博物院、花城广场、珠江夜韵、海珠湿地、广州市文化馆）：新中轴线是珠江两岸延绵的脉络，让广州从海上丝绸之路的繁华迈进了国际化城市的兴盛。

云山叠翠（含白云山、云萝植物园、云溪植物园）：“城园共融、生态共生、人民共享”成为广州绿意盎然的城市旋律，世纪花城的生态诗篇正续写着时代华章。

越秀风华（含北京路、南越王博物院、越秀公园、中山纪念堂）：传统中轴线是广州城脉与文脉的精神图腾，红色文化、岭南文化、海丝文化、创新文化等在此交融荟萃。

荔湾胜境（含永庆坊、陈家祠、白鹅潭、大湾区艺术中心、沙面）：作为岭南文化中心核心区、千年商都发源地，西关风韵依旧，鹅潭再显新韵。

南沙旭日（含南沙天后宫、蒲洲花园、南沙滨海公园、南沙湿地公园）：20公里的黄金海岸线播撒着南沙天后宫、蒲洲花园、邮轮母港等大湾区地标，展现“湾区明珠”的澎湃活力。

黄埔云帆（含南海神庙、黄埔军校）：作为海上丝绸之路的起点和近现代革命摇篮，“黄埔云帆”海丝文化融湾向海、走向世界的辉煌，也蕴含着救亡图存、铁血丹心的志气。

欢乐长隆（广州长隆旅游度假区）：广州三十多年打造了综合性主题旅游度假区，这里将欢声笑语酿成日常，成为无数家庭的记忆锚点。

流溪烟渚（含流溪河国家森林公园、从化温泉旅游度假区、中国国家版本馆广州分馆）：“广州的母亲河”流溪河沿岸，向世界展示生态之美与人文之韵的窗口。
