In the first half of 2025, Guangzhou received 113 million tourist visits, marking a 6.3% year-on-year increase, with total cultural tourism consumption reaching 162.18 billion yuan, an 8.1% increase from the previous year. International overnight visitors hit 2.605 million, up 14.4% year-on-year. Inbound cultural tourism spending reached 1.88 billion US dollars, a significant 16.8% increase year-on-year.

The city's holiday economy shone during the Chinese New Year 2025, hosting 16.34 million visitors for celebrations, including 400,000 spectators for the White Swan Bay fireworks display. During May Day holiday, Guangzhou attracted 11.9 million visitors, recording 12.1 billion yuan in cultural tourism spending - ranking first nationally in consumption popularity.

Guangzhou is gaining global recognition, winning "2024 Most Internationally Influential Inbound Tourism City" at the "Second Sina Weibo Travel Night" in June. Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport reports that the airport processed over 650,000 visa-free entries in H1 2025, a 129% surge.

August 1st marks the 100-day countdown milestone for China's 15th National Games. Throughout this year, while showcasing its cultural and tourism attractions to global visitors, Guangzhou has also conveyed the dynamism and warmth of its "city of sports" identity. With the official launch of 50 special tourism routes for the National Games year, the "Follow the Games to Travel" initiative is expected to spark a new wave of tourism enthusiasm.

上半年接待游客1.13亿人次！一起见证广州“世界会客厅”

2025年上半年，广州全市接待游客总量达1.13亿人次，同比增长6.3%；文旅消费总额1621.8亿元，同比增长8.1%。其中，入境过夜游客达260.5万人次，同比增长14.4%；入境文旅消费18.8亿美元，同比增长16.8%。

从假日经济看，2025年春节，1634万人次市民游客在广州过年，40万人同赏白鹅潭璀璨烟花盛宴；“五一”小长假，广州全市共接待市民游客1190万人次，实现文旅消费超121亿元，位居全国消费热度城市首位。

广州不仅是国内游客的选择，也是越来越多境外游客的选择。在6月举办的第二届“微博旅游之夜”颁奖盛典上，广州荣获2024年度微博“最具国际影响力入境游城市”。据白云边检站统计，2025年上半年，白云机场口岸免签入境外籍人员超65万人次，同比增长129%。

8月1日是十五运会倒计时100天重要节点。今年以来，广州在展现文旅魅力、邀约全球游客的同时，传递了“运动之城”的激情与温度。随着广州全运之年50条线路正式发布，“跟着赛事去旅行”有望掀起一波新热潮。
