On the evening of July 27th, the opening ceremony of the 2025 International Wing Chun Competitionwas held in Xiqiao Mountain, Nanhai District, Foshan. Nearly 4,000 participants from 218 teams around the world gathered in the "Hometown of Martial Arts"to make friends through martial arts and write a new chapter in the history of Wing Chun from July 27th to 31st.

As one of the seven official events of the International Wushu Federation (IWUF) and the highest-level international Wing Chun competition, the competition has been hosted in Foshan for three consecutive years since 2024. This year's participants come from numerous countries and regions, including the United States, Canada, France, Bulgaria, Indonesia, and Hong Kong, China, with ages ranging from 5 to 67 years old, fully demonstrating the widespread influence of Wing Chun across borders and generations.

The "Wing Chun Martial Arts Forms"featured multiple lineages such as the Yip, Yuen and Yiu lineages performing together, embodying the inclusiveness of the "Contention of a Hundred Schools of  Thought."

The event also introduced the "Chinese Martial ArtsSmart Wing Chun Dummy" to redefine the wooden dummy training evaluation system with digital technology and provide scientific data on the "gong", the great energyof traditional martial arts.

全球近4000名咏春高手齐聚佛山一决高下

7月27日晚，2025年国际咏春拳大赛开幕式在佛山南海西樵举行。来自世界各地的218支队伍近4000人齐聚“武术之城”，在7月27日至31日期间以武会友，共同谱写咏春新传奇。

作为国际武术联合会七大官方赛事之一、全球最高级别的国际咏春拳赛事，本届大赛自2024年起连续3年落户佛山。本次大赛的参赛选手涵盖全球众多国家和地区，包括美国、加拿大、法国、保加利亚、印度尼西亚以及中国香港等，选手年龄跨度从5岁到67岁，充分彰显了咏春拳跨越国界、贯通代际的广泛影响力。

其中，“咏春拳系代表套路”让叶系、阮系、姚系等多支流派同台绽放，彰显了“百家争鸣”的包容气度。

据介绍，大赛引入“中华武术智能功夫桩”，以数字化技术重构木人桩功力测评体系，用科学数据诠释传统武术的“功”。
