From July 14th to 20th, the 17th International Dragon Boat Federation (IDBF) World Dragon Boat Racing Championships (referred to as the "World Championships") were held in Brandenburg, Germany. Representing China, two powerhouse teams from Shunde — the Shunde Lecong Louvre Dragon Boat Team and the Daliang Sugang Dragon Boat Team — delivered a stellar performance, bringing home seven golds and achieving multiple historic breakthroughs. As the premier international event organized by the IDBF, the World Championships represent the pinnacle of global dragon boat competition. This year's edition drew nearly 4,000 athletes from 32 countries and regions.

The Shunde Lecong Louvre Dragon Boat Team competed in the Premier Open Division, sweeping gold in all four major events for the men's 22-member dragon boat races: the 200-meter, 500-meter, and 1000-meter straight races, as well as the 2000-meter turn race. Notably, the team made history by claiming its first-ever gold in the 1000-meter event. With this performance, they became the first Chinese team to achieve a full sweep of all 22-member events in the Premier Open Division at the World Championships.

Notably, earlier this year, the Shunde Lecong Louvre Team also set a new record by winning nine consecutive national and international dragon boat tournaments, earning an astounding 35 gold medals across various events.

Meanwhile, the Daliang Sugang Dragon Boat Team competed in the U50 category and captured gold in all three events they entered — the 2,000-meter, 200-meter, and 500-meter straight races. This marked their debut on the international stage, making their triple-gold triumph all the more remarkable.

七连冠！顺德“双龙”闪耀世界龙舟锦标赛

7月14日-20日，世界龙舟锦标赛在德国勃兰登堡市举行。顺德乐从罗浮宫龙舟队和大良苏岗龙舟队代表中国参赛，勇夺七个冠军，并实现多个历史突破。世界龙舟锦标赛作为国际龙舟联合会（IDBF）主办的国际最高级别龙舟赛事，代表着世界龙舟运动的最高竞技水平。本届赛事共有来自32个国家和地区的近4000名运动员参加比赛。

据悉，顺德乐从罗浮宫龙舟队参加世锦赛精英公开组比赛，包揽男子22人龙舟200米、500米、1000米直道竞赛和2000米绕标赛四个项目金牌。在1000米直道竞赛项目上，更是实现历史突破首次拿下冠军。与此同时，顺德乐从罗浮宫龙舟队首次实现中国龙舟队在世锦赛精英公开组男子22人龙舟全部参赛项目大满贯。

值得一提的是，顺德乐从罗浮宫龙舟队在今年上半年创历史连续9站蝉联国家级、国际级龙舟赛事大满贯，累计豪夺赛事项目35个冠军。

此外，大良苏岗龙舟队参与U50组别，成功将U50组别的2公里、200米、500米直道竞赛三项冠军收入囊中。据了解，这是该队首次参与国际赛事，首次参与便拿下“三金”实力令人赞叹。
