The top 16 candidates for the 2025 "Top Eight Sights of Guangzhou" have been announced. From 9:00 AM on July 16th to 9:00 AM on July 19th, a three-day online voting event is underway. The final eight scenic sites will be selected from these 16 options.

This list includes both classic landmarks, such as the Canton Tower and Baiyun Mountain, as well as new contenders like Yong Qing Fang and the Bai'etan Greater Bay Area Art Center. These locations reflect Guangzhou's urban evolution and the aspirations of its citizens.

Student Yang Yanming is particularly fond of the Haizhu National Wetland Park, calling it the urban "green heart" and praising its ecological beauty. Volunteer Xie Dongxing highlights the excellent transportation links to the 16 scenic sites and hopes they will become part of a citywalk guide. Zhou Shaoqian, a citizen judge in 2011, suggested that the names of the new scenic sites should incorporate local culture, balancing elegance and rhythmic appeal. Chen Jingfeng, a dance teacher from Chongqing, shared that the 16 scenic sites reminded her of her first visit to the city, and she hopes the new eight scenic sites will inspire her future creative works.

The public can vote through various platforms such as the official website of the People's Government of Guangzhou Municipality and the Young Pai APP. The organizing committee will determine the final scenic sites and their names based on the public online vote results, combined with input from an advisory panel and expert judges. The official list and names of the new 2025 "Top Eight Sights of Guangzhou" will be announced at a launch ceremony in Guangzhou on August 3rd.

广州街坊热议“羊城八景”前16景

2025年“羊城八景”评选前16景已出炉，7月16日9时至19日9时，为期3天的名称网络投票正火热进行，最终八景将从这16景中诞生。

此次16景既有广州塔、白云山等“老面孔”，也有西关永庆坊、白鹅潭大湾区艺术中心等“新贵”，承载着广州的城市变迁与百姓向往。

学子杨彦铭钟情海珠国家湿地公园，称其“城央绿心”的生态之美令人难忘；志愿者谢栋兴认为16景交通便利，期待成为City Walk指南；2011年市民评委周少泉建议新景名需融情入景，兼顾典雅与音律美。重庆籍舞蹈老师陈静凤则因16景勾起初游记忆，盼新八景为创作注入灵感。

市民可通过市人民政府官网、羊城派等多渠道投票。活动组委会将根据市民网络投票的结果，以及顾问组、评审组专家的意见确定景点（区）命名。8月3日，广州将举办2025年“羊城八景”发布仪式，公布新“羊城八景”名单及命名。
