On July 10th, the 2025 "Roots-seeking Journey in China" Summer Camp — the Charm of Lingnan: Smart Innovation Tech Camp and Encountering the Lion Dance Camp — kicked off at the College of Chinese Language and Culture, Jinan University. 120 overseas Chinese teenagers from countries including France, the UK, the US, Spain, Canada, and Russia gathered in Lingnan to embark on a journey exploring technological wonders and cultural heritage.

The Smart Innovation Tech Camp focuses on innovative experiences in Lingnan intangible cultural heritage, participation in the spirit of the 15th National Games, and hands-on exposure to cutting-edge technology. Meanwhile, the Encountering the Lion Dance Camp offers participants the opportunity to explore traditional Lingnan culture, including visits to landmark sites.

Bai Yun, a team leader from the Spanish Chinese Education Center shared that she brought six campers with her. They were very excited and eager to participate in the variety of activities, hoping to see, feel, and touch authentic Chinese traditional culture firsthand.

Louis Dai, a camper from the UK, mentioned that he had seen dragon and lion dance performances at his Chinese school in the UK and developed a strong fondness for them. He hopes this summer camp will allow him to deepen his understanding of these traditional arts. Another camper, Gu Yinuo, expressed great interest in visiting the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Link. She marveled at the rapid pace of China's technological advancements and noted that through the camp, she could directly experience China's growing strength.

醒狮茶道、尖端科技……120名华裔青少年齐聚南粤“寻根”

7月10日，2025“亲情中华·中国寻根之旅”夏令营——风韵南粤智创科技营和遇见醒狮主题营，在广州暨南大学华文学院同时开营。来自法国、匈牙利、斐济、英国、泰国、美国、葡萄牙、西班牙、加拿大、俄罗斯、瑞士等国家和地区的120名华裔青少年齐聚南粤，开启一场感受科技魅力与人文底蕴的精彩旅程。

风韵南粤智创科技营以岭南非遗创新体验、共享全运、触摸前沿科技为主要内容；风韵南粤遇见醒狮主题营，营员们将在活动中体验岭南传统文化，打卡城市地标景观。

西班牙华文教育中心领队老师白赟告诉记者，此次她带领6名营员前来，孩子们都非常激动，渴望参与丰富多彩的活动，希望能亲眼看到、亲身感受并亲手触摸到真真切切的中国传统文化。

来自英国的营员代路易斯表示，他在英国中文学校时曾看过舞龙舞狮表演，十分喜爱，希望能借这次夏令营机会深入学习。另一位营员顾一诺则对即将参观的深中通道表现出浓厚兴趣，她感叹中国科技发展速度之快，并表示通过活动能更直观地感受到中国的日益强盛。
