In 2024, Guangdong's marine economy shone: GDP exceeded 2 trillion yuan, accounting for 1/5 of the national total; mariculture output surpassed 3.76 million tons, and marine tourism revenue reached 950 billion yuan. As the national leader, Guangdong has topped China's marine GDP for 30 consecutive years.
