U.S. President Donald Trump, who built his reputation on the self-proclaimed ‘Art of the Deal’, has long touted his dealmaking prowess. Before entering politics, the businessman authored the 1987 bestseller ‘The Art of the Deal’ – a manifesto that now reads like a script for his political theatrics.  

During his second term, Trump vacillated on tariff issues, showcasing his so-called "Art of the Deal." First, he imposed increased tariffs on China; then he considered lowering tariffs for China; and also publicly claimed to be engaged in negotiations and discussions with China.  

The Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Commerce have made it clear that the Chinese side has never engaged in any contact or consultations with the Trump administration on tariff issues.  

It turns out that Trump's so-called "Art of the Deal" is actually the "Art of the Cheat."

美国总统特朗普以擅长“交易的艺术”而自豪。在步入政坛之前，身为商人的特朗普曾出版过一本题为《交易的艺术》的畅销书。

特朗普在第二个任期，又在关税问题上反复横跳，展现他所谓“交易的艺术”。先是对中国增加关税，又说考虑给中国降低关税，还对外宣称正与中国谈判接触。

中国外交部和商务部明确表示，中方从未就关税问题与特朗普政府进行过接触和磋商。

原来，特朗普所谓“交易的艺术”，其实是“欺骗的艺术”。
