With the 15th National Games being hosted for the first time in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), Guangdong's sports industry is embracing a historic opportunity. According to the Sports Bureau of Guangdong Province, the total output of the province's sports industry surpassed 730 billion yuan in 2023, with a growth rate of approximately 13%. The industry's added value exceeded 230 billion yuan, accounting for one-fifth of the national total. This achievement is backed by the robust support of Guangdong's sporting goods manufacturing industrial clusters.

At present, the scale of the sports industry continues to expand, and the potential for sports consumption is accelerating. In Guangzhou, for example, the city's annual sports industry output has exceeded 210 billion yuan over the past three years. In 2023, urban and rural residents spent 62.385 billion yuan on sports consumption. Among Guangzhou's 21 key modern industrial chains, four local enterprises, including Guangzhou Double Fish Sports Goods Group have been selected as leading enterprises in the sports and fitness industry chain.

Recently, Double Fish Sports officially announced its role as the exclusive table tennis equipment supplier for the 15th National Games. On May 1st, the company will also participate in Phase 3 of the 137th Canton Fair. From developing China's first hard 3-star table tennis ball in 1975 to showcasing the PAR40+ ball with a tolerance of just 0.015 grams at the Olympic Games Paris 2024, Double Fish's "small ball" has made a big entrance on the global stage.

Since then, this Guangdong enterprise has frequently appeared in top international tournaments, with its products used in events such as the ITTF World Championships, the ITTF World Cup, and the Olympic Games, achieving a full presence across the three major competitions.

Within the landscape of Guangdong's sports industry, there are both "hidden champions" that excel in specialized niches and innovative forces driving cross-sector integration.

Galaxy Bicycle Co., Ltd in Heshan became the first company from Jiangmen, Guangdong Province to secure a branded booth in the bicycle section of the Canton Fair. With an annual output value exceeding 300 million yuan, it exports mid-to-high-end mountain and road bikes for sports and leisure to overseas markets. Also based in Heshan, Jiangmen Pengcheng Helmet Co., Ltd has seen its LS2 helmets not only sponsor top-tier events like Moto GP but also serve as the choice of national bobsled teams from Switzerland, Austria, and others during the Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022, marking a breakthrough from land to ice sports.

In the field of sports nutrition, Otsuka Sims (Guangdong) Beverage Co., Ltd, the production base of Pocari Sweat, provides scientific hydration solutions for athletes and fitness individuals, becoming a vital link in the sports industry chain.

As the 15th National Games enters its "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao phase," Guangdong's sports industry is embracing a new wave of development opportunities. The event is not only stimulating growth in traditional sectors such as venue construction and smart services, but also creating demand for emerging areas like sports rehabilitation and smart wearable devices.

From a single table tennis ball to smart helmets, from bicycles to Olympic-grade sports drinks, Guangdong's sports industry is building an increasingly diversified innovation ecosystem. The output of over 730 billion yuan in 2023 lays a solid foundation for the province's goal of surpassing 900 billion yuan by 2025.

剑指9000亿元，广东体育产业扬帆十五运会

随着第十五届全国运动会首次“花落”粤港澳大湾区，广东体育产业迎来历史性机遇。广东省体育局公开数据显示，2023年广东体育产业总规模突破7300亿元，增速约13%，增加值超2300亿元，总规模占全国总量的五分之一。这一成绩的背后，是广东体育制造业集群的强力支撑。

当前，体育产业规模不断扩大，体育消费潜力正在加快释放。以广州为例，近三年来全市体育产业规模年均2100亿元以上，2023年城乡居民体育消费623.85亿元。在广州市重点打造的21条现代产业链中，广州双鱼体育用品集团有限公司等4家广州企业跻身体育与健身产业“链主”企业名单。

不久前，双鱼体育“官宣”成为第十五届全运会乒乓器材独家供应商。5月1日，双鱼体育也将参加第137届广交会第三期。从1975年研制国内首颗硬质三星乒乓球，到2024年巴黎奥运会以公差仅0.015克的PAR40+乒乓球征服世界，双鱼体育的“小球”不断走向国际“大赛场”。

此后，这家广东企业在国际顶级赛事中频频“刷脸”，陆续运用到世锦赛、世界杯、奥运会等国际赛事中，实现了乒乓球三大赛事“大满贯”。

在广东体育产业的版图上，既有深耕细分领域的“隐形冠军”，也有跨界融合的创新力量。 

鹤山市格莱仕车业有限公司作为江门首家获得广交会自行车品牌展位的企业，年产值超3亿元，其生产的中高档运动休闲山地车、公路车远销海外市场。同处鹤山的江门市鹏程摩托车头盔有限公司，其LS2头盔不仅赞助MOTO GP等顶级赛事，更在2022年北京冬奥会上被瑞士、奥地利等国雪车队选用，实现从“陆地”到“冰雪”的跨界突破。 

而在运动营养领域，大冢慎昌（广东）饮料有限公司作为宝矿力水特的生产基地，为运动员和健身人群提供科学补给，成为体育产业链上的重要一环。  

随着十五运会进入“粤港澳时间”，广东体育产业迎来新一轮发展机遇。赛事不仅带动场馆建设、智慧服务等传统领域，更催生了运动康复、智能穿戴等新兴需求。

从一颗乒乓球到智能头盔，从一辆自行车到奥运级运动饮料，广东体育产业的创新图谱日益丰富。2023年超7300亿元的规模，为2025年突破9000亿元目标奠定坚实基础。
