The Asian Winter Games leads the way in driving the ice and snow economy

The 9th Asian Winter Games is being held with great excitement in Harbin. It not only showcases the competitive beauty of winter sports but also, through its innovative model combining "ice, sports and culture and tourism", has stimulated economic growth.

The "event-driven" tourism consumption model is becoming a key growth engine for the ice and snow economy. According to data, during the Asian Winter Games, inbound tourism orders in Harbin surged by 157% compared to the previous year, with Southeast Asian visitors increasing by 35%. This confirms the powerful ability of international events to attract visitors.

During the event, the Harbin Cultural Broadcasting and Tourism Bureau developed 10 premium travel routes, linking over 500 cultural and tourism sites. According to data, the orders for tourism packages related to the theme of "Welcoming the Asian Winter Games" saw an impressive increase of 388%.

In the Asian Winter Games theme area of Harbin Ice and Snow World, ice sculptures representing landmarks from the 45 member countries of the Olympic Council of Asia attracted a large number of international tourists. A Russian journalist praised Harbin after visiting, saying, "It's so breathtaking here. Although it's a bit cold, the warmth of the people of Harbin makes you feel warm inside." The "warmth" here refers to the hospitality carefully cultivated by Harbin.  

On Harbin's Central Street, the two-people-tall mascots of the Asian Winter Games have become a new hotspot for social media check-ins. The flagship store for official Asian Winter Games merchandise sees daily foot traffic of over 5,000 people. The mascots, Binbin and Nini, have been dressed in a variety of outfits, such as floral cotton jackets, military coats, and ethnic minority costumes. The popularity of cultural and creative products, including curling figurines and badge series, highlights the immense commercial potential of the event's IP.

亚冬会引领哈尔滨冰雪经济”火力全开

第九届亚洲冬季运动会在哈尔滨火热举行,不仅展现了冰雪运动的竞技之美,更以“冰雪+赛事+文旅”的创新模式,撬动了经济收益。

“赛事主导型”旅游消费模式,正成为冰雪经济的重要增长极。数据显示,亚冬会期间哈尔滨入境游订单同比激增157%,东南亚客源增长35%,印证了国际赛事的强大引流效应。

在赛事期间,哈尔滨市文旅局打造了10条精品旅游线路,串联起500余处文旅场景。数据显示,“喜迎亚冬会”相关旅游主题套餐订单量增长达388%。

在哈尔滨冰雪大世界亚冬会主题区内,亚奥理事会45个成员国的地标冰雕,吸引了大量国际游客。俄罗斯记者阿丽娜在参观完后,对哈尔滨赞不绝口,“这里太震撼了,虽然有点冷,但哈尔滨人的热情让人心里暖暖的。”阿丽娜口中“寒冷中的温暖”,折射出哈尔滨精心打造的城市温度。

在哈尔滨中央大街,两人高的亚冬会吉祥物成为新的网红打卡点,亚冬会特许商品旗舰店日均客流量更是突破5000人次。吉祥物滨滨、妮妮被套上多种多样诸如花棉袄、军大衣、少数民族等服饰,冰壶摆件、系列徽章等文创产品的热销,揭示出赛事IP商业化的巨大潜力。
