On the evening of October 22^nd, Huawei's native HarmonyOS, China's first homegrown mobile operating system, was officially launched. It is now the third-largest mobile operating system in the world, following Apple's iOS and Android.

"Today marks a historic milestone for the Harmony ecosystem, as Huawei native HarmonyOS NEXT 5.0 officially goes live." On site, Yu Chengdong, Executive Director of Huawei, stated that the success of the Harmony operating system is due to the collaborative efforts of partners across industries. Currently, the system has over 110 million lines of code, with 6.75 million registered developers and more than 1 billion connected devices. Additionally, there are over 15,000 native applications and services available.

"The construction of operating systems is typically based on specific technological kernels, primarily derived from the Unix and Linux kernels, as seen in Apple's iOS and Android systems. Continuing to rely on these two kernels would limit technological autonomy. The birth of the native HarmonyOS marks China's first step towards independence from these kernels, Creating the 'Harmony Kernel.' This breakthrough not only highlights Huawei's strength in the operating system but also injects new momentum into industry development. As the ecosystem matures and technology evolves, HarmonyOS is expected to become a significant force in the future of operating systems," said Xiang Ligang, chairman of the Zhongguancun Modern Information Consumer Application Industry Technology Alliance .

It is noteworthy that the native HarmonyOS has rapidly established a vast ecosystem thanks to its unique advantages, with over 1 billion devices now equipped with it. This ecosystem spans various categories, including wearables, smartphones, tablets, smart screens, and intelligent cockpits. Additionally, HarmonyOS is widely used across multiple industries, such as manufacturing, transportation, and healthcare.

"Since its launch in 2019, HarmonyOS has quickly become the second-largest digital foundation in the Chinese market, demonstrating remarkable vitality. Currently, it holds a leading position in the top 2 with over 110 million lines of code, 6.75 million registered developers, and more than 1 billion HarmonyOS devices. Yu emphasized that the Harmony Kernel, as the first all-scenario microkernel architecture, shows significant performance improvements compared to Linux. Huawei has achieved comprehensive intelligence, from the kernel to system applications, by restructuring HarmonyOS to be centered around AI."

Additionally, the smart voice assistant "Xiao Yi" has been upgraded to an intelligent agent, offering users comprehensive, personalized services across various scenarios. The native HarmonyOS has also broken down barriers among multiple devices and scenarios, achieving a unified "one OS, one ecosystem". This supports seamless transitions in cross-device meetings and navigation, as well as other multimodal interaction features.

华为原生鸿蒙操作系统正式发布，生态设备数突破10亿

10月22日晚，中国首个国产移动操作系统——华为原生鸿蒙操作系统正式发布，这也是继苹果iOS和安卓系统后全球第三大移动操作系统。

“今天鸿蒙生态迎来了历史性突破，华为原生鸿蒙系统HarmonyOS NEXT 5.0正式上线。”现场，华为常务董事余承东表示，鸿蒙操作系统的成功离不开各行业伙伴的共同努力。目前，鸿蒙操作系统代码量超1.1亿行，注册开发者达675万，鸿蒙生态设备数突破10亿，上架的原生应用和元服务超过15000个。

“操作系统的构建均基于特定技术内核，以往多为Unix和Linux两大内核派生，如苹果iOS和安卓系统。若继续依赖这两大内核，技术自主性将受限。而原生鸿蒙系统的诞生，标志着中国首次摆脱内核依赖，创建了‘鸿蒙内核’。这一突破不仅彰显华为在操作系统领域的实力，也为行业发展注入新动力。随着生态完善和技术迭代，鸿蒙系统有望成为未来操作系统领域的重要力量。”中关村信息消费联盟理事长项立刚说。

值得注意的是，原生鸿蒙操作系统凭借其独特优势，在短短时间内已构建起庞大的生态体系，搭载设备数量超过10亿，覆盖华为穿戴产品、手机、平板、智慧屏及智能座舱等多个品类，并广泛应用于工业、交通、医疗等多个行业。

“鸿蒙操作系统自2019年发布以来，已迅速成长为中国市场Top2的数字底座，展现出强大的生命力。截至目前，鸿蒙在中国市场占据Top2的领先地位，拥有1.1亿+的代码行、675万注册开发者和10亿+鸿蒙生态设备。”余承东强调，鸿蒙内核作为首个全场景微内核架构，其性能较Linux有显著提升。华为通过重构以AI为中心的鸿蒙原生智能，实现了从内核到系统应用的全面智能化。

此外，智能语音助手“小艺”也升级为智能体，为用户提供全场景智能化、个性化服务。原生鸿蒙还打破了多设备、多场景间的壁垒，实现了“一个系统，一个生态”，支持跨设备会议无缝接续和导航接续等多模态交互功能。
