Zhanjiang, boasting the longest coastline and the most abundant islands among prefecture-level cities in Guangdong Province, possesses unique coastal tourism resources with over 140 islands scattered like a colorful painting. Located in the heart of Zhanjiang Bay, Techeng Island shines as a prominent "star" in this picturesque scene.

With the warming weather, tourism interest in Techeng Island is on the rise. On a lifestyle-sharing platform, there are over 3,300 posts about Techeng Island, indicating that this lesser-known island gradually enters the mainstream spotlight.

Departing from Zhanjiang's seaside pier, tourists can purchase a ferry ticket for just five yuan to reach Techeng Island. The trip takes approximately 20 minutes.

Mangrove forests cover around half of the island, encompassing over 1,000 mu (about 66.7 hectares) of land. Boasting a history of over 500 years, these bonsai-like trees form one of the most beautiful mangrove communities along the coast of China.

The crystal-clear waters, fine sandy beaches, and lush tropical vegetation of Techeng Island attract numerous visitors. In 2017, the approximately 8.3-kilometer-long island loop greenway was fully connected. Visitors can rent electric cars and enjoy the picturesque scenery along the greenway. Currently, the construction of cultural and tourism infrastructure in the Techeng Island Mangrove Wetland Park is completed, including a mangrove science popularization gallery, sightseeing boardwalks, ecological squares, and observation pavilions.

Despite its small area of only 3.6 square kilometers, Techeng Island boasts a rich cultural heritage. The villagers on the island all bear the surname of Chen. Their ancestors migrated from Fujian during the Song Dynasty, making a living from fishing for over 800 years.

In 2009, leveraging the island's natural volcanic hot springs, Techeng Island Hot Spring Resort was completed and put into operation, offering accommodations, dining, hot springs, beach bathing, and other activities. The resort is designed for people seeking group building, conferences, and leisure tourism. After arriving on the island, visitors can rent electric cars to explore the coastline and enjoy beach activities or immerse themselves in the embrace of the hot springs to relax, all while admiring the quaint and exquisite architecture in the resort.

Currently, Techeng Island has 22 accommodation businesses, including one four-star resort hotel and five local brand characteristic homestays. In 2023, the island received 346,000 tourists, generating a total tourism revenue of 26 million yuan.

湛江霞山特呈岛:小众海岛焕发文旅新活力

作为广东海岸线最长、海岛最为繁多的地级市，湛江拥有着得天独厚的海滨旅游资源，140多个岛屿星罗棋布，犹如一幅绚丽多彩的画卷。而位于湛江湾中心的霞山特呈岛，正是这幅画卷中一颗耀眼的“明星”。

随着天气的回暖，特呈岛的旅游热度上升。在某生活分享类平台上，关于特呈岛的笔记数量已经高达3300多篇，且热度持续上涨，这个小众岛屿正逐渐走入大众视野。

从湛江海滨码头出发，花5元钱买张船票即可搭乘轮渡前往特呈岛，大约20分钟后，轮渡便停靠到特呈码头了。

据了解，环绕半个岛屿的红树林覆盖面积达1000多亩，已有500多年的历史，树形状如盆景，属全国海岸最漂亮的红树林群落之一。

特呈岛清澈的海水、细腻的沙滩和郁郁葱葱的热带植被吸引了众多登岛的游客。2017年，全长约8.3公里的环岛绿道全线贯通，租一台电动车沿绿道漫游，沿途的风景如诗如画。目前，特呈岛红树林湿地公园已配套建设了完整的文旅基础设施，红树林科普长廊、观光栈道、生态广场、观景亭台等一应俱全。

特呈岛面积仅3.6平方公里，却有着丰厚的文化底蕴。岛上村民皆为陈姓，其祖先从宋代起由福建迁居至此，世代以捕鱼为生，延续至今已有800多年。

2009年，以岛上天然火山温泉为依托，特呈岛温泉度假村建成投入使用，经营客房、餐饮、温泉、海滩浴场等项目，集团建、会务、休闲观光等功能于一体。游客们登岛后，既可以租一台电动车，在海岸边自由穿梭、赶海吹风，也可以沉浸于温泉的怀抱，放松身心，还可以在度假村中欣赏古朴巧致的建筑……

目前，特呈岛共有住宿业经营单位22家，其中四星级水平度假酒店1家，地方品牌特色民宿5家，2023年游客规模34.6万人次，旅游总收入2600万元。
