On the first day of the 2024 Chinese New Year, a village in Nanxiong City vibrates with the sound of drums, gongs, and firecrackers. Comprising 99 sections and stretching 399 meters in length, a giant dragon is brought to life by about 300 villagers as it parades through Zhuji Alley. Accompanied by six dancing lions, they offer Chinese New Year’s greetings to the local community. This spectacle attracts numerous villagers and tourists to pray for good fortune. Firecrackers, gongs, and drums roar, with continuous applause for the splendid parade.
大年初一一大早,当人们还沉浸在除夕夜热闹的余韵中时,南雄市珠玑镇叟里元村已经开始敲锣打鼓、鞭炮齐鸣。由99节构成,共399米长的巨龙被约300名村民共同舞动起来,还有6只舞狮配合,一路往广东第一巷——珠玑古巷巡游前行,向父老乡亲拜年,吸引了众多村民和游客来祈好运。巨龙所到之处鞭炮雷鸣、锣鼓喧天,喝彩声不断。
