Good things come in pairs, and Frost’s Descent brings the best time to enjoy persimmons. In the spring of 1953, Lao She and his wife planted two persimmon trees in their courtyard, also known as the “persimmon courtyard”, in Dongcheng District of Beijing. In late autumn, the persimmon trees are covered with red persimmons, creating a poetic and picturesque sight.
