During this Mid-autumn Festival and National Day Holiday, many new railway lines in China have made their debut, and the Guangzhou-Shanwei high-speed railway is one of them.

On September 26th, the Guangzhou-Shanwei high-speed railway officially opened. This high-speed railway line operates at a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour. After its opening, the travel time from Shanwei Station to Guangzhou East Railway Station can be as fast as 71 minutes, marking the integration of Shanwei into the "one-hour" transportation circle of Guangzhou, which will greatly facilitate people along the line.

On September 27th, the railway welcomes the Golden Week of Mid-autumn Festival and National Day Holiday t, and the Guangzhou-Shanwei high-speed railway has been favored by many passengers. It maintains a high level of passenger flow continuously. From September 26th to October 4th, the Guangzhou-Shanwei high-speed railway has cumulatively transported 318,000 passengers, with an average daily transportation of 35,000 passengers.

The Guangzhou-Shanwei high-speed railway connects a total of eight stations, including popular cities for travel like Huizhou and Shanwei. During the holiday, the passengers mainly concentrate at Huizhou South Station and Shanwei Station.

Huizhou South Station is the largest station among the newly built stations of the Guangzhou-Shanwei high-speed railway. It is not only the core transportation hub in the local central area but also an important link to promote the connection of the Southeast Coastal Economic Belt in China and drive the economic development of the surrounding areas.

After the railway's operation, it only takes one hour from Guangzhou East Railway Station to Huizhou South Station. During the journey, you can enjoy famous attractions such as Huizhou West Lake, Dongpo Temple, and the 5A-level Scenic Area Luofu Mountain. It takes another 30 minutes from Huizhou South Station to reach Shanwei, where you can taste delicious seafood and experience the romantic charm of Honghai Bay and Jinting Bay.

It is reported that the Guangzhou-Shanwei high-speed railway, together with the planned Ningbo-Wenzhou-Fuzhou high-speed railway, the operating Fuzhou-Xiamen high-speed railway, the constructing Zhangzhou-Shantou high-speed railway, and the Shantou-Shanwei High-speed Railway to be opened within the year, will form a new and higher standard high-speed railway corridor from Ningbo to Guangzhou. It is an important part of the coastal corridor of the "eight vertical and eight horizontal" high-speed railway network and holds a significant position in the regional road network.

广汕高铁迎国庆首秀，已发送旅客31.8万人次

这个假期，有不少铁路新线迎来“首秀”，广汕高铁便是其中一条。

9月26日，广汕高铁正式开通运营，这是一条开通即以350公里设计时速运营的高铁线路。开通后，汕尾站至广州东站最快71分钟可达，标志着汕尾融入广州“一小时”交通圈，极大便利沿线群众出行。

9月27日，铁路国庆黄金周运输启动，广汕高铁受到沿线群众青睐，客流持续保持高位运行。9月26日至10月4日，广汕高铁累计发送旅客31.8万人次，日均发送3.5万人次。

广汕高铁沿线共停靠8个车站，沿途惠州、汕尾都是旅游城市。国庆假期，客流主要集中在惠州南站、汕尾站等。

惠州南站是广汕高铁新建车站中最大的一座车站，它不仅是当地核心区综合交通枢纽中心，更是促进东南沿海经济带紧密联系，带动沿线地区经济发展的重要纽带。

这个假期，从广州东站花1个小时到达惠州南站，可领略惠州西湖、东坡祠、国家5A级景区罗浮山等名胜。在惠州南站再花半个小时可到汕尾，品尝美味海鲜，感受红海湾、金町湾等浪漫风情。

据悉，广汕高铁与规划的宁波至温州至福州高铁、已开通的福州至厦门高铁、正在开展前期工作的漳州至汕头高铁、预计年内开通的汕头至汕尾高铁，将组成新的更高标准的宁波至广州高铁通道，是“八纵八横”高速铁路网沿海通道的重要组成部分，区域路网地位十分重要。
