The first Guangdong Economic Forest Harvest Festival, themed "Greening Guangdong, Fragrant Forest Fruits," will be held in Dianbai district, Maoming from Sept 22nd to 25th. The event witnessed the participation of around 50 leading forestry enterprises showcasing their economic forest products.

In recent years, Guangdong's economic forest sector has achieved remarkable success, boasting a total area of 25.72 million mu and an impressive output value of 85.111 billion yuan.

Dianbai, Maoming emerges as the nation's largest agarwood hub

During the first Guangdong Economic Forest Harvest Festival, the Agarwood Festival of Dianbai, Maoming, unfolded, featuring expert discussions on the development of the agarwood industry.

Dianbai in Maoming has earned the moniker "Home of Chinese Agarwood." Statistics reveal that the district boasts about 120,000 mu of artificially cultivated agarwood forests, yielding over 100 varieties of agarwood products across seven major categories. With more than 2,800 agarwood processing and sales enterprises and a workforce exceeding 40,000 people, the district has achieved an annual output value of nearly 4 billion yuan, making it the nation's largest and most vibrant agarwood market and distribution hub, with the most comprehensive range of agarwood products.

In recent years, Dianbai has been actively exploring e-commerce development models and pathways, establishing Guangdong's first "Woodcraft and Crafts" TikTok e-commerce live broadcasting center. Concurrently, they've been promoting e-commerce support for farmers, narrating the story of Dianbai agarwood, and propagating the Dianbai agarwood brand.

Forestry industry output of Dongguan, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou surpasses billion-yuan milestone

In recent years, Guangdong has developed a comprehensive forestry industry system, establishing forestry industry clusters and belts with a total output value exceeding one trillion yuan, represented by Dongguan, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou. The region's resource optimization, integration, and aggregation have yielded significant radiating effects.

As of the end of 2022, the province's forested area reached 143 million mu, with a forest coverage rate of 53.03%. There is currently one national forestry industry demonstration park (Deqing), 20 Guangdong provincial forestry specialty industry development bases, five national forest health resorts, and 18 national forest-based economic demonstration bases, along with 35 national forestry industry-leading enterprises.

In the next phase, Guangdong will prioritize the development of key characteristic industries such as oil-tea camellia, bamboo, traditional Chinese medicinal materials, and economic fruit trees. There will also be a strong emphasis on expanding the forest-based economy, and concerted efforts will be made to create industry brands like "Yuelin+ (Canton Forest)" to enhance the economic benefits of a greener and more beautiful Guangdong.

首届广东经济林丰收节来了！

首届广东经济林丰收节于9月22日-25日在茂名电白举行，活动以“绿美广东 林果飘香”为主题，活动中约50家林业龙头企业携经济林产品参展。

近年来，广东经济林发展取得了积极成效。目前，全省经济林总面积2572万亩，实现产值851.11亿元。

茂名电白成为全国最大的沉香市场集散中心

首届广东经济林丰收节期间，茂名电白沉香节同期举行，专家学者将针对沉香产业发展进行研讨。

茂名电白素有“中国沉香之乡”美誉。据统计，电白区人工种植沉香林木面积约12万亩，已形成七大类共100多种沉香产品链，全区沉香加工销售企业达2800多家，从业人员4万多人，年产值近 40 亿元，是全国规模最大、品种最齐全、交易最活跃的沉香市场集散中心。

近年来，电白区积极探索电商发展模式和路径，建立广东首个“木作文玩”抖音电商直播运营中心。同时，推动电商助农，讲述电白沉香故事，宣扬电白沉香品牌。

东莞、深圳、广州林业产业总产值均超千亿元

近年来，广东省形成了较完整的林业产业体系，形成了以东莞、深圳、广州3个地市为代表的林业产业总产值均超千亿元的产业集群和产业带，资源优化整合和集聚辐射效果明显。

截至2022年底，全省森林面积1.43亿亩，森林覆盖率53.03%。现有国家林业产业示范园区1个（德庆）、广东省林业特色产业发展基地20个；国家森林康养基地5个，国家林下经济示范基地18个；国家林业重点龙头企业35家。

下一步，广东将重点推动油茶、竹子、中药材、经济林果等优势特色产业发展，大力发展林下经济，统筹打造“粤林+”等产业品牌，提高绿美广东经济效益。
