Maoming, as the "Lychee Capital of China" and the largest lychee producer in Guangdong Province, is the world's largest lychee production base. Maoming’s lychees are known for their fragrant and crispy texture, thick and juicy flesh with high popularity both domestically and internationally.

Currently, there are 15 registered lychee orchards and 7 registered fruit packaging factories for export in Maoming, one of which is newly registered for fruit packaging for export in April.

As of May 12th, Maoming has exported 20 shipments of lychees, totalling 210 tons, with a value of 9.77 million yuan. The export destinations include the United States, the Netherlands, Canada, Panama, and others, marking the official start of this year's lychee export season in the city. The intended export orders from key enterprises in Maoming amounted to 6,666 tons, representing a nearly 30% growth compared to the total export volume of the previous year.

As the largest free trade agreement in terms of population, economic and trade scale, and development potential, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) has opened up a broader international market for Maoming's lychee exports. Guangdong Chongji Agricultural Co., Ltd. has received orders for exporting 415 tons of lychees to Macau and 1 ton to South Korea.

Guangdong Zefengyuan Agricultural Products Co., Ltd. has improved its lychee export quarantine equipment for Japan and South Korea and is about to obtain the qualification for lychee exports to Japan and South Korea. Japanese buyers have visited for inspection, and breakthroughs in exporting to Hong Kong, Macau, Japan, and South Korea are about to be achieved.

今年茂名荔枝出口已超200吨

作为广东荔枝第一大产区的“中国荔乡”茂名市，是世界最大的荔枝生产基地。茂名荔枝清香爽脆，肉厚多汁，深受海内外消费者的喜爱。

目前，茂名市出口荔枝注册果园15家，出口水果注册包装厂7家，其中，4月新增注册出口水果包装厂1家。

截至5月12日，茂名市企业出口荔枝20批，共210吨，价值977万元，出口目的国包括美国、荷兰、加拿大、巴拿马等；茂名市重点企业荔枝出口意向订单6666吨，与去年全年出口量相比，增长近30%。

作为全球人口最多、经贸规模最大、最具发展潜力的自贸协定，RCEP为茂名荔枝出口开辟了更加广阔的国际市场。广东崇基农业有限公司荔枝出口澳门意向订单415吨，出口韩国1吨。广东泽丰园农产品有限公司出口日韩荔枝检疫设备完善，申请荔枝出口日韩资质即将获批，日本采购商已来访考察，出口我国港澳地区、日韩即将实现突破。
