#TheGreatBeautyofGuangdong The Zengjiang Project has stood out as the only project among the rest in Guangzhou to be nominated for the Da Yu Award 2023. But how come? It withstood the heavy flood in June 2020. The subsequent construction of the project has reinforced the dikes along the Zengjiang River, greatly improving local water safety.The Zengjiang Project has also enriched the tourism resources of the Zengjiang Gallery and resolved the shortage of recreational facilities along the river by building greenways.The Lihu Wetland Park in the South Area of the project helps people enjoy the river views along the greenways, offering opportunities to get close to aquatic plants and animals and play on the beach.

广州有众多水利工程，为何“增江工程”能够脱颖而出成为广州唯一入围本年度“大禹奖”的工程？在建设期间，“增江工程”便守住了2020年“6·8”洪水，工程的后续建设也为增江原有堤防进行除险加固，极大提升了增江的水安全。“增江工程”的落成，丰富了“增江画廊”的旅游资源。受益于“增江工程”所配建的碧道，增江沿岸缺乏休憩空间的问题被解决。与“增江工程”关联的荔湖湿地公园南区，市民游客不仅可以沿碧道欣赏增江江景，还可以沿碧道亲近水生动植物，在人工沙滩玩耍。
