At noon on April 10th, MSCIRINA, the world's largest container ship self-developed by China, berthed at the Nansha Phase II, chalking up records for the largest container ship in dock after only 17 days when the ship OOCL SPAIN did at last month.
Carrying products from the Greater Bay Area to the Mediterranean countries
With a total length of 399.99 meters and a breadth of 61.3 meters, MSCIRINA was launched in March this year. The highest bay layers of this vessel are up to 25, equivalent to the 22 floors of the building. Excellent for a "giant" and "king of cargo" on the sea, MSCIRINA also has room for more than 24,346 TEU, which can connect Guangzhou and Hong Kong if lined up at the ground level.
MSCIRINA will carry smart home appliances, photovoltaic products, textiles, furniture and more produced in the Guangdong-Hong Kong -Macao Bay Area to the Mediterranean, calling at important ports in many countries and regions along the way. The arrival of this vessel indicates that there have been 13 large ships equipped with a maximum container capacity of over 19,000 TEU on the JADE/AE11 Mediterranean route in the Port of Nansha.
Guangzhou embraces a long history of maritime trade with Europe. As early as the 18th century, the famous European ocean-going merchant ship Götheborg of Sweden made three voyages to Guangzhou, as a witness to the prosperity of the ancient maritime Silk Road. Today, MSCIRINA can reach the Port of Gioia Tauro in Italy, the first stop of its European tour, within only 23 days from the Port of Nansha. It also helps fuel the growing channels of China-EU international trade.
Guangzhou Port ranks first in port efficiency
Port of Nansha, as the hub port of Guangzhou Port and where MSCIRINA is docked, has built 20 large container berths of over 100,000 tons, with an annual container throughput capacity of over 24 million TEU. Recently, the regular berthing of ultra-large ships such as OOCL SPAIN, COSCO Ship Solar and MSCIRINA has effectively tested the comprehensive capacity of this terminal.
At present, the Nansha Port has widely rolled out its customs clearance model of the logistics project Bay Area One Port Pass for import and export, that is, "one declaration, one inspection and one release". What's more, 100% of paperless export can be achieved by applying Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) technology. The previous 2-hour on-site processing time is now reduced to a few minutes through online one-click declaration, which efficiently ensures the smooth operation of import and export goods in Hong Kong.
According to Shanghai Shipping Exchange's latest report the Average Time in Port and Berthing of Ocean-going International Container Ships in March, Guangzhou Port is still the first in terms of port efficiency among major ports around the world for its shortest average time in both port and berthing.
全球最大集装箱船靠泊广州南沙港
4月10日中午,中国自主研制的全球最大集装箱船“地中海伊琳娜”(MSCIRINA)号靠泊在广州港南沙二期集装箱码头,仅隔17天便再次刷新南沙港区挂靠最大集装箱船舶的历史纪录。
搭载大湾区产品前往地中海
“地中海伊琳娜”号于今年3月下水,船长399.99米,型宽61.3米;最高单贝堆箱层高达25层,相当于22层楼的高度;最大装箱量24346标准箱,在地面首尾相连一字排开可以从广州连接到香港,堪称海上“巨无霸”和“带货之王”。
此次“地中海伊琳娜”号的靠泊作业将搭载粤港澳大湾区生产的智能家电、光伏产品、纺织品、家具等产品,开往地中海方向并停靠沿途多个国家和地区的重要港口。随着该轮的加入,南沙港区地中海航向JADE/AE11航线配备最大装箱量1.9万标准箱以上的大型船舶已达13艘。
广州与欧洲海上贸易往来源远流长,早在18世纪著名的欧洲远洋商船哥德堡号曾三次远航广州,见证了“古代海上丝绸之路”的兴盛与繁华。如今,“地中海伊琳娜”轮从南沙港出发,仅需23天即可抵达欧洲首港意大利焦亚陶罗,为中欧国际贸易通道的持续畅通再添助力。
广州港港口综合效率排名第一
“地中海伊琳娜”号此次接靠的南沙港区是广州港核心港区,该港区已建成20个10万吨级以上大型集装箱泊位,集装箱年通过能力超过2400万标准箱。近期“东方西班牙”轮、“中远海运太阳”轮、“地中海米娜”轮等超大型船舶的常态化靠泊对码头的综合能力作出了有效检验。
目前,南沙港区进出口“一次申报、一次查验、一次放行”的“湾区一港通”通关模式已经广泛铺开。南沙港区利用EDI技术实现了100%出口无纸化,以前2小时的现场办理时间,现在通过线上一键申报直接压缩到几分钟,高效保障进出口货物在港操作顺畅。
据了解,在上海航运交易所最新公布的“3月全球主要港口远洋国际集装箱船舶平均在港在泊停时”中,广州港平均在港停时和平均在泊停时均为最短,港口综合效率在世界主要港口中排名继续保持第一。
