Foshan strives to promote high-quality development
In 2022, the GDP of Foshan stood at 1,269.8 billion yuan, ranking third in Guangdong in terms of economic output. Foshan is the 17th city in China to attain an economic output of over 1 trillion yuan. In addition, the city is a national historical and cultural city, the hometown of martial arts and gourmet. It is also the frontier of reform and opening-up, and the slogan "dare to be the first" reflects the spirit of Foshan people.
Famous media experts discuss the high-quality development of Foshan
According to Zhang Jianyue, President of China News Service G.D.Branch, Foshan has created an "economic miracle" that has caught the world's attention by virtue of its solid manufacturing basis and first-class business environment.
"Foshan is developing at an unprecedented pace, and this visit has renewed my impression of Foshan," said Jiang Wei, Director of China Tribune.
Foshan has a well-established industrial cluster and profound historical and cultural resources, and it deserves to be promoted in multiple ways, remarked Huang Xiaodong, Executive Editor-in-Chief of Sing Tao Daily Overseas Edition. Foshan needs to "present itself on the world stage", said Pan Lingyan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Sing Tao Daily Overseas Edition.
According to He Ru, Director of Nordic Chinese Times, the continuous innovation in the oversea promotion of Canton culture requires the media to take the lead in innovation so as to increase the influence of Chinese culture worldwide.
Sun Yumei, Vice Director of European Overseas Chinese Newspaper, expressed her hope to serve as a media professional to introduce Foshan to other regions of China and the rest of the world.
Li Na, Deputy Director of Global Business Group of Global Times, said that she was impressed by both the philanthropic entrepreneur Guan Jichu and Shunde District's vigorous promotion of "Foshan Cuisine", and suggested adjusting the dimensions and angles of telling the Foshan story, so as to improve the communication effect.
Sun Hui, Director of CHUBUN, said that he wanted to establish more communication between Foshan and Japan. Now many places in Japan hold Chinese festivals, offering exhibition opportunities for Foshan pottery works. And he wished that the media could play a matchmaking role in bilateral communication.

3月29日下午，经过了对佛山5个高质量发展典型案例的考察，羊城晚报“海内外名媒社长总编湾区（佛山）行”组织的25位名媒大咖围绕佛山高质量发展进行研讨。
佛山奋力推动高质量发展
2022年，佛山市GDP总量达到12,698亿元，从经济总量上排名广东第三，也是全国第十七个经济总量超过万亿元的城市。佛山是国家历史文化名城，是武术之乡、美食之城；佛山更是改革开放的前沿地，“敢为人先”是佛山人的精神。

中新社广东分社社长张见悦表示，佛山创造了让世人瞩目的“经济奇迹”，凭借的是深厚的制造业家底和一流的营商环境。
美国《美中报导》社长江维表示，“佛山正在以前所未有的速度在发展，此次来佛山更新了我对佛山的印象。”
星岛日报海外版执行总编辑、星岛环球网总裁兼总编辑黄晓东表示，佛山拥有完善的产业集群和深厚的历史文化资源，要利用多元方式更好宣传佛山。星岛日报海外版副总编辑、星岛环球网副总编辑潘凌燕表示，佛山要站到“世界舞台”上。
北欧时报社长何儒表示， 广府文化的对外传播不断创新，要求媒体要不断革新、以身作则，让中华文化的对外影响力不断增强。
欧洲侨报副社长孙玉梅表示，希望能发挥自己作为媒体人的责任，帮助佛山走向全国、走向世界。
环球网全球化事业群副总监李娜表示，无论是慈善企业家关杰初，还是顺德区对“厨出凤城”的大力宣传，都让她大受震撼，并建议深入挖掘讲好佛山故事的维度、角度，提升传播效果。
日本中文导报主任记者孙辉表示，希望未来能与佛山建立更多沟通，现在日本很多地方都在举办中国节，佛山很多陶器作品都可以拿去日本展示，身为媒体将在其中起到牵线搭桥的媒介作用。
