#TheGreatBeautyofGuangdong The Banquet of the Nanyue King, a 2000-year-old event revived from ancient books, has witnessed the development of Cantonese cuisine, not least how to make today's Cantonese refreshments.
On February 15, a unique cultural display andintangible cultural heritage activity allowed visitors to Beijing Road Pedestrian Street to intuitively appreciate the essence and charm of traditional Cantonese cuisine.
A replica of the Banquet of the Nanyue King from more than 2000 years back was set up at the event. Mouth-watering dishes such as Xiongguan Dang Dao (roast suckling pig standing up) and Envoy Lu Jia (a delicacy made of quails replacing rare birds in ancient times) attracted many to satisfy their taste buds.
