This little dancing woman made of jade invites you to her party! The Nanyue King Museum exhibits a dancing figure made of jade, only 3.5 cm in height.
The dancing figure shows the scene that a woman, from south ancient China, wearing a long-sleeved dress in the Han style, is performing a dacne from Chu area. In fact, such dancing figures were often discovered in the tombs of vassal kings in the Han dynasty. However, most of them were carved on a flat jade.
This sculpture of a little dancing woman was first discovered in China's archaeological history. It requires excellent skills to carve details on such a small piece of jade.
