On December 1, the Shenquan-phase2 Offshore Wind Farm Project of the State Power Investment Corporation(SPIC), located in Huilai County, Jieyang City, realized grid-connected power generation.

With the world's largest commercial wind turbine whose single unit capacity is 11 MW, this project provides a strong guarantee for the production of full-capacity grid-connected power generation by the end of the year.

The wind turbine has already set two world records. The single pile of Unit 35 is currently the heaviest and largest foundation of its kind in the world. In addition, as a commercial wind turbine with the world's largest single-unit capacity, it can produce power that can meet the needs of 19,000 households per year.

神泉二海上风电项目

12月1日，位于揭阳市惠来县的国家电投揭阳“神泉二”海上风电项目——全球商用最大单机容量11兆瓦风电机组实现并网发电，为年底实现全容量并网投产提供有力保障。此次并网的机组刷新两大世界纪录。其中35号机组单桩是目前全球最重、直径最大的单桩基础。另外，作为全球商用最大单机容量风电机组，年可发电量能满足1.9万户家庭一年的用电需求。
