In the ancient city of Chaozhou, beside the beautiful water of the Han River, there is a thousand-year-old village—Longhu Village. The village known as "Little Chaozhou" was founded in the Song Dynasty, built in the Ming Dynasty, and flourished in the Qing Dynasty.
This place is accessible from north to south and is a gathering of merchants, which not only witnessed the prosperity of Chaozhou Port trade during the Ming and the Qing Dynasties but also recorded the history of overseas Chinese who have traveled across the sea to make a living and who are deeply interested in their hometown and serve their ancestors.
Recently, the tenth batch of "The Overseas Chinese International Cultural Exchange Base" was announced, and Longhu Ancient Village was successfully selected. This also means that the overseas Chinese elements and culture behind the Longhu Ancient Village are being recognized by more and more people and become a vivid signboard to show the profound culture of Chaozhou.
