Three more cities of Guangdong—Shaoguan, Yangjiang, and Maoming—have been honored as National Forest City, reaching the total number of such cities in the province 14. As a result, Guangdong ranked with Guizhou as the province with the largest number of forest cities in China. Guangdong has long been carrying out the construction of forest cities, accelerating the development of forest towns, forest villages, greenways and ecological corridors, and vigorously promoting the establishment of "National Forest Cities" in all its 21 prefecture-level cities in the province. Guangdong has already built the Pearl River Delta National Forest City Cluster, and the "Forest City" has become a bright name card of its ecological civilization in the new era.

近日，韶关、阳江、茂名三个地市被授予国家森林城市称号，至此，广东国家森林城市达到14个，与贵州省并列为全国“创森”成功地市最多的省。长期以来，广东深入开展森林城市建设，加快森林城市、森林乡村和绿道、生态廊道建设，全力推动全省21个地市全部开展“国家森林城市”创建工作。如今，广东已基本建成珠三角国家森林城市群，森林城市建设已成为广东新时代生态文明建设的亮丽名片。
