Since the end of 2021, Tangxia Town of Dongguan has been planning to transform itself into an urban lakeside park integrating ecological leisure, lakeside beauty, and sports based on the existing resource landscape. One of the highlights of the town is Fairy Lake Park. The park has built a variety of leisure landscapes, as well as runways and waterfront boardwalks around the lake. Thus, the once-overgrown fishing grounds have transformed into urban "emeralds".

东莞塘厦镇从2021年年底就开始谋划依托现有资源景观，提升改造成集生态休闲、滨湖美景、畅享运动的城市滨湖公园。其中的亮点工程之一就是仙女湖公园。仙女湖公园以水为纽带，统筹建设了多种休闲景观，以及仙女湖环湖跑道和亲水栈道。曾经荒草丛生的钓鱼场蜕变为城市“绿宝石”。
