Hidden on an island that is accessible only by boat is the Yajisha Pumping station, which has been quietly serving Guangzhou citizens since 1969. The 53-year-old water intake pump station has recently completed comprehensive renovation works and continues to serve the citizens of Guangzhou with a new look. Trees and birds can still be seen everywhere. Through this transformation, the pump station not only adapts to the development of era, but also protects the ecological environment to the greatest extent.

在一座进出都要靠船的小岛上，藏着自1969年起便默默为广州市民服务的丫髻沙取水泵站。如今已经53岁的取水泵站近日完成综合改造，以焕新的面貌继续为广州市民服务。在泵站的管理范围内，随处至今可见绿树与鸟儿。通过本次改造，泵站不仅适应了时代的发展，也最大范围地保护了生态环境。
