The Chinese Southern Lion Dance is the symbol that represents the culture of Guangdong best. Dancing the lion is a must during the Spring Festival or other festive activities. Zhang Tinghai is a Lion Dance inheritor. He believes that learning the Lion Dance requires a calm mind and years of practice. “Ten years of practice for one minute on the stage”. It is this perseverance that enables traditional Chinese customs to be passed down from generation to generation.
