In 1987, the shipwreck of the Song Dynasty’s “Nanhai #1” was accidentally discovered in the waters of the Maritime Silk Road. After a 20-year preparation, it was finally salvaged in 2007. Today, archaeologists have found more than 140,000 pieces of precious cultural relics on board, including porcelain, coins, silk, etc. But its value lies not only in the rare treasures it holds, but also in its extraordinary academic value.
