Jieyang Academy, with a history of more than 880 years, covers an area of more than 20,000 square meters and consists of 21 single buildings. It is the largest and best-preserved historical building group in the Lingnan area. As a lofty cultural palace in the eyes of local people, Jieyang Academy is not only a historical and cultural landmark building of the ancient city, but also a place for the inheritance of the ancient city’s millennia-old culture. It has cultivated a large number of famous figures in the history of China and has allowed for the concept of advocating education to continue in Jieyang.
距今已有880多年历史的揭阳学宫，占地面积两万多平方米，由21座单体建筑构成，是岭南地区规模最大、配套建筑最完善、保存最完整的同类历史建筑组群。作为当地人心目中崇高的文化殿堂，揭阳学宫不仅是揭阳古城的历史文化地标，也是古城千年文脉的源出之地，培养了大批名留青史的人物，也让崇文重教的薪火在揭阳大地绵延不息。
