The Beginning of Winter (19th solar term) means winter is officially coming. Winter is also the best time for replenishment, many people refer to it as“the season of dietetic invigoration”. In Huizhou, people like to drink soup. They will stew the chicken, duck and fish with Chinese herbs such as ginseng, angelica and wolfberry, while in the Chaoshan area people will eat sugar cane, fried rice. 立冬节气过后,就意味着冬季正式来临。冬季也是进补的最佳时期,称为“补冬”。在广东惠州,人们喜欢喝补汤,将鸡鸭鱼肉和人参、当归、枸杞等中药一起合炖。潮汕地区的人们则会吃甘蔗、炒香饭。在这个万物收藏的季节,期待下一个春天。
