The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Culture Week kicked off at Canton Tower on October 24. This culture week will last until October 31, 2021, bringing a cultural feast to the public.

The opening performance mainly featured Lingnan folk music, Cantonese opera, classical Cantonese music and other shows with the characteristics of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA), which deepens the art exchanges between cities in the GBA.

Some recommended cultural events are as follows.

GBA city-themed gala

From October 25 to 31, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Macao and other cities will be invited to hold a special gala in Guangzhou to showcase the characteristics and cultural charm of the GBA.

Excellent drama exhibition

During culture week, the troupes in the GBA and famous domestic troupes will hold performances in Guangzhou.

GBA Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition

From October 24, 2021 to January 2, 2022, the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition is underway at Canton Tower. Hong Kong, Macao, Foshan, Dongguan and other cities of the GBA are participating in the exhibition, displaying the achievements of the intangible heritage protection in GBA and expanding the influence of Lingnan culture.

You can see representative national intangible cultural heritage items in the GBA, including traditional arts and crafts, traditional dance, traditional music and folk customs.

Historical Relics Exhibition of Maritime Silk Road

From September to December, this exhibition is held at the Museum of the Nanyue King Mausoleum in Guangzhou, showing the historical relics of Maritime Silk Road in Macao, Zhanjiang, Yangjiang, Jiangmen and other cities to promote the culture of the Maritime Silk Road.

Cantonese Opera video exhibition

This exhibition opens from October 24 to 30 with a number of Cantonese operas, films and documentaries such as "The Legend about a Cantonese Opera Artist", "Wedding on the Execution Ground", "Happy Smile" and "Autumn".
