On August 25, Guangzhou issued a notice on the orderly opening of KTV, mini karaoke booths, Internet café and chess & card (mahjong) rooms, with a 75% maximum capacity.
On the premise of effective COVOD-19 prevention and control measures, Shenzhen's Bao'an district, Heyuan, Zhaoqing and Qingyuan have recently released similar notices to open entertainment venues.
Guangzhou resumes cross-province tours and offline activities
According to the same notice, Guangzhou allows travel agencies and online travel companies to resume cross-province group tours and “air ticket + hotel” business related to low-risk provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities).
The epidemic prevention and control of travel agencies and travel groups should be strengthened. These agencies and companies should not organize tour groups heading for medium- or high-risk areas, or accept tour groups coming from these areas. Also, they cannot organize tours for those from provinces with high-risk areas.
Moreover, under the premise of strict COVID-19 prevention and control, as well as epidemic emergency response plans, appropriate-scale offline cultural and entertainment activities, festivals and exhibitions can be held as applicable.
The notice requires that cultural venues ought to exercise COVID-19 prevention and control measures, ensure that staff are vaccinated, and strengthen the staff health and site hygiene management, and improve the emergency response plan.
All districts and relevant units should strengthen inspection and supervision, and deal with problems in a timely manner when problems are found to ensure that various measures for epidemic prevention and control are implemented.
