Crosstalk is a popular performing art in China, especially the Cantonese crosstalk rooted in Guangdong province, which is a unique form of expression in Lingnan culture. Cantonese crosstalk, founded in the 1950s by an older generation of artists such as Huang Junying, has accompanied generations of Cantonese people growing up. The aquatic crosstalk theater One Hundred Years of Zhushui—Nanxiaolin not only combines the traditional theme of Guangfu culture, but also caters to the aesthetic trend of young people. While inheriting the traditional art, it will also promote its rejuvenation in the new era.
