An online meeting to tie the cooperation between Guangdong-Hong Kong- Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Thailand’s Eastern Economic Corridor (EEC) in the field of digital economy and industry 4.0 will be held on July 30 and is now open for registration.
The meeting has been jointly organized by Royal Thai Consulate General in Guangzhou, Guangdong Department of Commerce, CCPIT (Guangdong) and Eastern Economic Corridor Office of Thailand.
The meeting will shed light into what opportunities will be available in the EEC and the recent GBA-EEC cooperation. It will cover various business sectors, including AI, automation and robotics, smart manufacturing, next-generation vehicles, smart agriculture, biotechnology, and logistics.
Speakers include representatives from Guangdong Department of Commerce, CCPIT (Guangdong), Eastern Economic Corridor Office (EECO) of Thailand, Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) Office in Guangzhou, Thailand-China Joint Committee on Enterprise Cooperation and the Federation of Thai Industries (FTI).
China and Thailand have been actively promoting the GBA-EEC partnership since 2019 as the industries of the two areas are highly related.
The EEC is an area-based development initiative which concentrates mainly upon the 3 Eastern provinces, namely Rayong, Chonburi, and Chachoengsao with an area of 13,000 square kilometres. The major focus of the EEC is to promote sustainable area-based development, comprehensive infrastructure and connectivity as well as advanced technology and innovation.
