The Lingnan region plays an important role in China’s financial history, with profound financial historical and cultural accumulation, with Guangzhou taking the lead. Most of the financial system, financial institutions and financial instruments of modern and contemporary China originated in Guangzhou. Lingnan Finance Museum, located at the former site of Lujiang Academy in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou, has left a variety of financial collections of the traditional financial industry, which shows the commercial background of Guangzhou at that time, and also reflects the folk wisdom of Guangzhou’s financial world.
