Guangzhou is both a city of flowers as well as of science and technology. The "July 1" themed light show was held by the Pearl River in Guangzhou recently. Guangzhou Tower displays the classic quotes of revolutionary martyrs, while CITIC Square displays the corresponding imagery. The two towers echo each other across the space. CITIC Tower and Guangzhou Tower, as the new and old "tallest building" landmarks in Guangzhou, highlight the sense of the times and the speed of development of the city. Through the intertwining of light and shadow, it lets the citizens intuitively feel that Guangzhou is becoming a city that blends both tradition and modernity.
