Over 17 million tourists visits Guangdong during the holiday
Tomb-sweeping Festival is a traditional Chinese festival for worshipping ancestors and it is also a festival for people to go out and enjoy the fun of spring.
According to data released by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province, Guangdong received a total of 17.218 million tourists and earned 8.34 billion yuan in tourism revenue during the holiday, and the total number of scenic spots was 665,000, ranking first in China. Comparing the data of the Tomb-sweeping holiday in 2019, the number of tourists in Guangdong has recovered by 95.7% and revenue has increased by 9.9%.
In order to allow people to travel safely during the pandemic, Guangdong implemented good management of forest fire prevention and epidemic control and also organized a series of online worship activities.
