129th Canton Fair initiates online promotion for foreign businesses

The 129th Canton Fair, which will be held online from?April 15-24, 2021, hosted its first "Promotion on Cloud" event for New Zealand businesses on March 30.

The online gathering was attended by Huang Yuefeng, Commercial Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in New Zealand, Chu Shijia, Secretary-General and Vice President of Canton Fair, Director General of China Foreign Trade Centre, and Martin Thomson, Chair of the New Zealand China Trade Association.

During the 129th Canton Fair, there will be 44 online promotion series activities with 32 countries, including Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, New Zealand, Australia, South Korea, the United States, Sweden, Peru, and Kazakhstan.

This session will also hold a series of activities such as "cloud signing" and "cloud business matching" to help Chinese and foreign enterprises open up international markets, promote trade transactions, and expand the global marketing network of the Canton Fair.

Industrial and commercial organizations, large multinational enterprises, industry associations from the United States, Russia, Indonesia, and Brazil, will sign also agreements with the Canton Fair.

"Cloud business matching" will invite Indonesia Kawan Lama Group, Russia X5 Retail Group, and Kroger's Company of the United States to hold online procurement special events, directly connecting with domestic companies.
